Compensation and Benefits for Aflac Sales Associates
In addition to commissions and Aflac's associate stock bonus program, there are a number
of special recognitions and awards are available to associates to help motivate them to
achieve and exceed production goals. Rewards include cash bonuses, prizes, and trips.
First-Year and Renewal Commissions
First-year commissions are awarded for each policy sold by our sales associates.
First-year commissions can be paid in advance or as earned. Renewal commissions are
awarded for each policy renewed.
Stock Bonus Program
Our stock bonus plan lets all associates share in Aflac's success, and no contribution is
required from sales associates participating in the program. Aflac associates are
automatic participants beginning with the first month of service; bonuses are paid when a
policyholder pays the thirteenth month premium and will be calculated as a percentage of
annualized premium. Dividends can be reinvested in Aflac stock (AFL) or paid directly to
associates.

Our associates/consultants are primarily responsible for prospecting, marketing, and
enrolling business groups into AFLAC plans. In today's changing health insurance market,

of these employers.
There are no qualifications for this position, but to be successful, one needs a positive
attitude, confidence, and a willingness to learn from someone who knows the business that

Although AFLAC benefits are available to our agents, this is a commission/renewal only
position designed for people who like the idea of unlimited earning potential. We do
differ from other sales positions in that we do not have any minimum sales requirements or
quotas that need to be met. Our new agents make roughly between 30-40k first year, however
this may be exceeded.
